Johnson, known for films including "28 Years Later" and "Nosferatu," was reportedly filming a Netflix series called "Enigma Variations," an adaptation of the 2017 novel with the same name.

Tavern owner Michelle Moore told NJ.com, "It was a cool experience to watch everything that goes on behind the scenes."

"You don't realize how much hard work goes in," she added.

According to Netflix, "Enigma Variations" is an "intimate yet sweeping portrait of masculinity, sexuality, and modern love in a world of endless choices."

Johnson plays Paul, "a man remade by the lovers who ignite and undo him across six transformative years," Netflix says. Also starring are Alicia Vikander ("Ex Machina," "Tomb Raider"), Riley Keough, and Devon Terrell.

The news comes just days after actresses Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning were spotted filming a legal thriller near the Presbyterian Church on the Morristown Green.
