Heroin In Morristown Park Found For 3rd Time This Month

So far, heroin has been found four times in 2017 in this popular park.

MORRISTOWN, NJ— For the third time in April, Morris County Park Police have found heroin in a Morristown public park.

While conducting a foot patrol on Patriot's Path, officers found a hypodermic needle containing suspected heroin, police said.

This was the third time police have found drugs or paraphernalia on the path in the past few weeks. Glassine envelopes, glass vials, and a glass pipe were found on April 2, and heroin folds, crack cocaine and a hypodermic needle were found on April 15.

Heroin was found a fourth time this year. On Feb. 24, officers found five bags of heroin, as Patch reported at the time.

All four incidents have been burned over to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.
