Experience Ukrainian Culture At 'Morristown For Ukraine’ Rally, Vigil
Residents are encouraged to visit and learn about Ukrainian culture, as well as donate supplies and money to help those in Ukraine.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — It's been nearly three months since Russia invaded Ukraine, and since then, families and friends in New Jersey have joined others around the world in doing what they can to help the country.
The Morristown for Ukraine Committee and the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey will hold a benefit, rally and vigil on the Green on June 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. Residents are encouraged to visit and experience Ukrainian culture, as well as donate supplies and money to help those fighting to protect their homes in Ukraine.
Mayors from the Morristown area are expected to attend, as are representatives from local churches and temples.

Arts and crafts will be available, as well as lessons on Ukrainian culture and history. After that, at sundown, there will be a candlelight prayer for the Ukrainian people.

“This is an opportunity to celebrate the Ukrainian people’s heritage and give them help in surviving. Any level of support is appreciated,” said Publicity Director Mike Leavy.
Attendees are encouraged to come and enjoy Ukrainian culture as well as donate to help the Ukrainian nation in its time of need. Donations in the form of checks or cash can be made at the rally.
There is also an Amazon wish list for the Ukrainian American Cultural Center. These items will benefit the Ukrainian people and save lives.
Donations can also be left on the Morristown Green on the day of the event. Those who wish to contribute can do so by sending a check to UACCNJ, c/o Ryan Dawson, PO Box 400, Brookside, NJ 07926. (write Morristown For Ukraine in the memo).
