• Morristown Fireworks Postponed Ahead Of America 250 Celebration (patch.com) — Morristown's planned Living History Weekend fireworks show tied to the America 250 celebration has been postponed because of an approaching nor'easter. Town officials say resident and visitor safety comes first, and they'll announce a new date once the display—visible from several Morristown viewing spots—is rescheduled.
   

• New Devices Will Photograph Illegally Parked Cars In Morristown (patch.com) — Morristown drivers will soon see new solar-powered "safety sticks" photographing cars that park illegally near crosswalks, hydrants, and other problem spots. Images go to Morristown police for review during a 90-day pilot starting Oct. 1, with officials stressing the program is for public safety, not broad surveillance, and involves no new parking rules.
