Trump Flying Out, Back Into Morristown Friday, Expect Major Delays

BREAKING: Drivers should expect a messy commute home as President Trump travels to and from Morristown Municipal Airport today.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — President Trump is flying out of Morristown Municipal Airport this evening and returning later tonight, and drivers should expect major delays.

Trump is expected to leave his Bedminster home around 5 p.m. and arrive at Morristown Municipal Airport ten minutes later. His flight is scheduled to take off at 5:20 p.m.

Drivers should expect majors delays in the area, particularly on Routes 287 and 78, during rush hour. Traffic has been known to affect side streets in the area during presidential motorcades as well. He'll spend a few hours in Huntsville, Alabama at a U.S. Senate Rally for Luther Strange before returning to New Jersey. His return flight lands in Morristown at 11:35 p.m., and he is expected back in Bedminster by 11:50 p.m. Friday night.

Late-night drivers should expect road closures at night as the motorcade travels to Bedminster, but won't have to worry about added traffic from commuters on their way home.

Trump has been in the area for the United Nations General Assembly in New York. He spent the past few days in Manhattan, but returned to Bedminster late Thursday night. He is expected to stay in New Jersey through Sunday.
