Newark, NJ – A massive power outage in Newark left thousands of residents without electricity on Monday morning, reports say.
About 6,000 customers were without power in Newark's North Ward, RLS Media stated.
The outage knocked out multiple traffic lights on the McCarter Highway, including one near the off-ramp on I-280, RLS Media reported.

In addition, the Harrison Bridge was reportedly closed down and police prohibited cars from traveling from Harrison to Newark.
