Woman Smuggled 6 Pounds Of Cocaine Into Newark Airport: Police
Authorities found the coke in a New York woman's luggage after she arrived from Santo Domingo, police said.

Newark, NJ – Authorities arrested a New York woman at Newark Airport on Friday after she allegedly tried to smuggle more than six pounds of cocaine into the country, police say.
Airport authorities found the coke in the luggage of Carolina Pantalion, 23, of New York City, after she arrived at Terminal C from Santo Domingo, a Port Authority of NY/NJ spokesman stated.
Police arrested Panalion without incident after discovering the contraband stash, authorities said.

Police charged her with possession of CDS and possession with intent to distribute. She was transported to Essex County Jail and assigned a $500,000 bail.
Last week’s arrest hasn’t been the only large-scale cocaine smuggling arrest at Newark Airport. In October of 2015, authorities arrested an Essex County man for allegedly attempting to smuggle 10 pounds of cocaine into the country inside an assortment of snack products.
