BOLD Summer Camp at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey
BioCONNECT Oncology Leadership Development camp is teaching 38 students about the growth, treatment, prevention and risk factors of cancer.
This week, a brand new learning camp is being held at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey. BioCONNECT Oncology Leadership Development, or BOLD, is a free camp that is specially designed to examine a wide range of information pertaining to cancer.
Risk factors, genetics, treatment, and prevention are all being tackled by educators from the Cancer Institute of New Jersey and the UMDNJ-School of Public Health between Monday and Friday of this week. 38 students from high schools throughout the state are enrolled.
Check out some photos from today's activity where students split into two groups and simulated the activity of a cell, both normal and abnormal.
