Man Stabbed At New Brunswick Train Station After Argument: Police

A fight broke out between two men over a financial debt, according to police.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — There was a stabbing at the New Brunswick train station Monday morning, said New Brunswick city police.

An argument broke out between two men who knew each other, and one of the men reportedly owed the other money, said police.

At 5:30 a.m., New Brunswick police officers arrested Rashan McMillan, 50, a resident of New Brunswick following an altercation between McMillan and another man, age 31.

Police say McMillan and the other man knew each other from past interactions. McMillan said he was owed a debt by the man. An argument ensued and McMillan stabbed the other man with a knife multiple times when the victim did not repay the debt, said police.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The knife was recovered at the scene.

McMillan was charged with aggravated assault and weapons charges.
