Shots Fired Off-Campus At Rutgers New Brunswick: Police
The suspect fled away from the university, police said.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ— The Rutgers Police department is currently investigating a report of shots fired off campus in New Brunswick, they said in an alert.
According to police, the report came in around noon, saying that there had been gunshots in the area of Jones Ave and Seaman Street.
A local resident reported a man standing in the intersection, who pointed and shot a gun towards Commercial Ave.

The man, who the resident described as being a black male in dark clothing and wool cap, fled on foot. He was headed away from the university, police said.
No one was injured, and police have increased their presence as a result.

The New Brunswick Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time contact the New Brunswick Police Department Detective Bureau at 732-745-5217.
