Unite Half Marathon Returns to Rutgers on April 21 and 22
The marathon events will be held entirely on Rutgers University campuses.
The third annual Unite Half Marathon Race Weekend will take place on April 21 and 22 at Rutgers University.
According to a release from host CGI Racing, more than 5,000 runners are expected to compete in the weekend's events, which include the Unite Half Marathon, the Unite 8K Race, the Run Unite Relay, and the Endurance Experience expo.
According to a release from CGI racing, a prize purse of $7,350 will be offered, with cash prizes given to the top three male and female overall winners and group winners.

250 free registrations will also be available for runners to raise money for the 2012 Rutgers Future Scholars Program, according to the release.
The schedule for the weekend is as follows:

- The Endurance Experience will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center, 656 Bartholomew Road, Piscataway. Entry is free and open to the public.
- The Unite Half Marathon will begin at 8 a.m. Sunday at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center. Registration is $85 through April 21, $95 on-site the day of the race. Student registration fees are $50 through April 21 and $55 on-site the day of the race.
- The Unite 8K Race and Run Unite Relay will begin at 8:15 a.m. Sunday at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center. Registration is $50, $40 for students through April 21.
- The Finish Line Festival will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the race finish line, located at College Avenue and Seminary Place. A live concert and food will be held for the runners.
