Report: Bergen County Park System May Get Extension

Officials in Lodi are hoping to purchase land that would eventually connect a park to the Bergen County park system that presently runs from Ridgewood to Rochelle Park.

Lodi’s Borough Council unanimously approved an ordinance to issue $800,000 in bonds to purchase a tract of land from the Lakeview Cemetery Association of Saddle Brook, according to northjersey.com.

The property is a narrow strip of land between Essex Street and Outwater Lane along the east side of the Saddle River.

The Saddle River County Park, which has a 6-mile pedestrian and bike path and runs through Fair Lawn, includes picnic areas in Rochelle Park, Saddle Brook, Paramus, Glen Rock and Ridgewood.
