The Borough Council voted unanimously to elect Howard Berner to serve as council president during their work session Monday night.
Berner replaces Keith Bachmann who resigned his council seat earlier this month to become a judge on the New Jersey Superior Court.
After the work session in the upstairs conference room at Borough Hall, Berner assumed his position as president on the dais when the public portion of the meeting began in the William Klinger Courtroom downstairs.
