Disciplinary Hearing Postponed for New Milford Liquors

The owner requested that the date be changed

Borough Administrator Christine Demiris said the disciplinary hearing for New Milford Liquors has been postponed until June 13 at 6:30 p.m. "at the request of the licensee."

At the May 9 work session, the mayor and council had set a date of May 23 for the disciplinary hearing for the owners of New Milford Liquors.

The NMPD said they picked up three minors on April 23 after they purchased alcohol at the store using fake out-of state identification. The borough will conduct a disciplinary hearing on June 13 following the Alcoholic Beverage Control guidelines.

Demiris explained the procedure of an ABC disciplinary hearing at the May 9 work session. "The attorney will represent their side, Mark [Madaio] will ask some questions and then their attorney can follow up."
