DPW Seeking to Fill Two Positions
More than 100 applications have been received by the borough

The Department of Public Works was recently given the green light by the Mayor and Council to advertise and hire for two open positions.
One position is a full time laborer job with responsibilities including snow removal, street cleaning, leaf removal and more. The applicants are expected to earn their CDL license within one year from the date of hire.
The other position is a seasonal job, running from July 15 through January 15, 2012. The rate of pay is $15 an hour with no benefits. Responsibilities also include leaf removal, street cleaning, snow removal and more.

Applications were being accepted through June 27.
Borough Administrator Christine Demiris said at Monday night's Mayor and Council meeting that more than 100 applications had been received for the DPW positions. Demiris said interviews would begin next week.
