Berkeley Heights Mourns Loss of Michael Hoffman

Former Berkeley Heights resident and University of Colorado student Michael Alexander Hoffman died on August 30 in Boulder Co., according to published reports.

Hoffman, 21, was born in New York City and raised in New Providence and Berkeley Heights. 

Results from a coroner's report on the cause of death is still pending.

A funeral service was held Tuesday morning at the Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial in Berkeley Heights, followed by the interment in B'nai Abraham Memorial Park in Union.

Michael Hoffman leaves behind his parents, Dr. Russell Hoffman and Xiomara (nee Martinez) Hoffman; his sisters, Jaimie and Gabriella Hoffman; his brother Daniel Hoffman; his grandparents, Ruth Goldfein and Stan Hoffman and Juanita Martinez.
