Why are you running for the school board?

I am running for the school board because I care about the students, parents, teachers, and administrators in our district. I have enjoyed many opportunities to volunteer with the PTA at Roberts Elementary School, where my daughter will be entering 6th grade in the fall. I would welcome the opportunity to continue my service to the community by working with the other board members to move our district in a positive direction.

What experience do you have that would help you serving on the school board?

As a school social worker, I served as a member of the Child Study Team in Millburn and Summit Public Schools. I worked as an elementary guidance counselor in the Livingston Public Schools. As an LCSW in private practice in New Providence, I have first hand knowledge of issues that our children and parents are facing today. I believe my experience working in schools and in my private practice has prepared me to be an informed voice on the school board.

What issues would you like to see addressed if elected?

Working together as a community, improving communication so people feel comfortable voicing their concerns, school safety, and the mental health and well-being of the students.
