• Two Lieutenants and Two Sergeants Appointed to The New Providence Police Departments (tapinto.net) — New Providence residents have four newly promoted police leaders, as the Borough Council elevated two officers to lieutenant and two to sergeant during Tuesday's meeting. Council also updated fire department regulations and formalized the borough's fire prevention program, including rules on false alarms and food truck permits. The next council meeting is set for October 13 at 7:30 p.m.
