Singers, Musicians Perform To Help Bergen Girl With Brain Injury

Sara Goffredo, 16, went into cardiac arrest May 17 and suffered loss of oxygen to the brain. She is recovering at her Mahwah home.

Singers and musicians came together this month to help Sara Goffredo, a 16-year-old Mahwah girl who suffered a traumatic brain injury in May.

Goffredo was out shopping with her mom May 17 when she had trouble breathing and went into cardiac arrest on the way to the ambulance. She suffered loss of oxygen to the brain and lost consciousness. She spent weeks in the hospital and is now at home recovering.

More than $60,000 has been donated online to help Goffredo's family pay for medical bills.
