Another Ocean City Spot Permanently Closes

OCEAN CITY, NJ — In what seems to be a recent trend, another Ocean City spot has announced that it is permanently closing its doors.

Starfish Cafe, located on Ninth Street, posted a message on Facebook on Sept. 18 that it had permanently closed. The business gave no reason for the closure.

"Thank you to our wonderful, kind and generous customers," the business wrote. "It's been a pleasure serving you."

The shop opened in 2016, providing Ocean City with healthy and environmentally conscious dining. It was well-known in the community for its vegan options.

Starfish is far from the only Ocean City business to close in recent weeks. Both Wards Pastry and OC Surf Cafe had their last day on Sept. 18, making Starfish the third in one day to close. Read More: Nearly 100-Year-Old Spot And More Set To Close In Ocean City
