My Top Five Tailgating Vehicles

A list of five vehicles that would be great for those fall football games, no matter the weather.

Football season is upon us, and there is a certain stigma that comes with football fans. Hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, cornhole, friends, and the good old pigskin, just to name a few, come with football territory. As such, tailgating may be the penultimate term used in the realm of the football fan, and to have the perfect tailgate, you need the perfect vehicle. For those that like to tailgate in luxury and style, here are a few vehicles from Land Rover to GMC that might serve a higher purpose for you on those chilly fall mornings around the grill.

  1. Range Rover Evoque – As the winner of literally dozens of awards in the SUV segment around the world, the Range Rover Evoque broke new ground upon its release last year. A luxury crossover with style and panache, the fuel efficient Evoque can get you to the game for less and have you become the envy of your fellow tailgaters.
  2. Honda Odyssey – True, the Odyssey is a minivan , but don’t let the term fool you. The spacious interior with seating for your entire crew as well as all of your tailgating necessities provides comfort and quality. Don’t forget about the entertainment options, with two eight-inch video screens for your viewing pleasure.
  3. GMC Acadia – It seems that this SUV is becoming more and more popular. Another crossover with enough space to fit a pee-wee football team, comfort and style stay with you regardless of who wins the game when you are driving the Acadia.
  4. Mercedes-Benz GLK350 – For true luxury and high-performance, the GLK-Class from Mercedes-Benz provides more than just an SUV. Although slightly more compact, the bold look, superior performance, and top of the line technology will have your competitors turning their heads as you find your perfect spot on the grass.
  5. Subaru Outback – Mud, dirt, rain, grime; all of these things are why the Outback was made by Subaru. A near perfect tailgating vehicle for those days that others might stay home, this vehicle will get you need to be. Spacious interior, all-wheel drive, and the Subaru logo make this the perfect rainy day tailgate-mobile.

Are you not a fan of the tailgate scene? Maybe one of these vehicles can change your mind. For some of the best tailgate experiences you will find from Green Bay to San Francisco, there is a vehicle that will get you there. Which one would you choose?
