How Close Are Morris County Towns To 70% Of Adults Vaccinated?
As NJ and the nation approach their deadlines for getting 70 percent of adults vaccinated, here's where each Morris County town stands.

NEW JERSEY — Seventy percent is the magic number. It's the number of adults New Jersey wants fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by July 1, the amount President Joe Biden wants partially inoculated by July 4 and a figure Morris County has already reached in its adult population.
But some Morris County towns stand short of the mark. And that could soon mean state officials knocking on doors in those municipalities. The COVID-19 Community Corps — employees and volunteers for the New Jersey Department of Health — will encourage people to get vaccinated and tell people where they can get a shot.
That won't apply to most of Morris County though. According to the Centers for Disease Control, 74.3 percent of the county's adult residents are fully vaccinated, and 83.8 percent have received at least one dose.

New Jersey reached the milestone of 4.7 million people fully vaccinated last Friday. The New Jersey Department of Health has logged 4.86 million people fully inoculated as of Friday morning. The state is also on the verge of passing a six-month goal of getting 70 percent of all adults — also 4.7 million people — fully vaccinated, Gov. Phil Murphy said Wednesday.
