Unregistered Voter Signatures Leads to School Board Candidate's Disqualification
Challenged petition reduces field to three candidates vying for same number of seats.

What was set up to be a contentious board of education election in Parsippany this November has dwindled to just three candidates seeking three seats.
The Morris County Clerk’s office has confirmed that Louis Maccarella only received eight votes from registered voters. To file a petition and be placed on the ballot in November, at least 10 valid voter signatures are necessary. The clerk’s office said Maccarella’s petition was challenged, but would not say by whom.
Incumbents Judy Mayer and Frank Neglia, along with former board member Susy Golderer, will make up the three slots on the November ballot. There will be three open seats available with three-year terms.
