• Phillipsburg Police Investigating Animal Abuse Case Involving Dog Found Abandoned on Sitgreaves Street (TAPinto.net) — Phillipsburg police are investigating an animal abuse case after a dog was found abandoned on Sitgreaves Street between Center Street and Limekiln Road, and they're asking residents for tips. Mayor Randy Piazza Jr. condemned what he sees as rising neglect cases, while prior records show many local impounds and suspected cruelty incidents. The dog is now safe with Phillipsburg Animal Control, and anyone with information is urged to call the non-emergency line.
