• PHILLIPSBURG Police Release September 2026 Activity Report (TAPinto.net) — Phillipsburg police handled 2,838 calls in September, including 63 arrests, 434 traffic stops, and over 600 summonses, offering a clear snapshot of local public safety activity. Residents can see where officers spent most of their time, from disorderly conduct and medical calls to welfare checks, traffic accidents, and a handful of burglaries and stolen vehicles. 
• Another internet provider is expanding in Lehigh Valley. Here are the details (mcall.com) — High-speed fiber internet is slated to reach Phillipsburg as Greenlight Networks extends its Lehigh Valley buildout from Easton into New Jersey, backed by a $20 million investment. While most construction and customer hookups are planned for 2027, the company says it aims to become an active community partner as it grows its network across the region.
• There's a new team atop the Bellamy & Son Paving Top Ten after Phillipsburg falls at Ridge, and it's their first No. 1 ranking in BCC history (cjsportsradio.com) — Phillipsburg's football team has slipped from the top spot in the Big Central Conference rankings after a heartbreaking last-play loss at Ridge, dropping the Stateliners to No. 4. Elizabeth now claims the No. 1 ranking, while several other Central Jersey programs shuffle positions heading into another full slate of Friday crossover games.
