7 Mysterious Deaths In New Jersey in 2 Days As Manhunts Underway

UPDATE: Seven people died in separate mysterious New Jersey incidents as several manhunts are underway.

NEW JERSEY – Several manhunts are underway after seven deaths in two days were reported this weekend.

In one case, police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 15-year-old New Jersey boy.

At a candlelight vigil attended by more than 100 people on Sunday evening, the boy was remembered as a good friend and a hard worker who played tennis and soccer and ran track, CBS New York reported (see video below).

In another case, a man was shot and killed in a quiet Jersey Shore town this weekend. The shooting apparently happened after a fight, according to prosecutors.

  • Lakewood police have taken custody of a Jeep Cherokee in connection with the fatal hit-and-run on Friday night that killed a 15-year-old Lakewood boy. The Jeep was found at a home in Toms River about 1 p.m. on Sunday as Detective Lt. Leroy Marshall followed up on information the police department received about the crash, police said.   • Prosecutors have been investigating a fatal shooting that happened after a fight was reported in a quiet Jersey Shore community this weekend, police said. Narisco Rodriguez, 43, was shot in Manalapan Saturday night and then transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.   • A 13-year-old boy was found dead in New Jersey over the weekend, prosecutors said. The incident happened sometime before 3:45 p.m. on Sunday when police officers responded to the area behind 133 Harrison St. in Paterson and discovered a body, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.   • A 22-year-old man was shot and killed in Passaic this weekend, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office. The incident happened at approximately 9:33 p.m. on Sunday when police discovered Amir Pyron, 22, of Passaic lying on a sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds. Pyron was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center where he was rushed into emergency surgery before he was pronounced dead, according to the PCPO.
  • A train struck and killed a man Saturday morning on tracks in Piscataway, according to nj.com. The man was killed around 10 a.m.
  • A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed when a car struck him as he tried to turn onto Route 70 in Pemberton Township, authorities told nj.com on Monday.
