• Chargers Boys Varsity Soccer Falls to Undefeated Point Pleasant Beach (tapinto.net) — Point Pleasant Beach High School's boys soccer team protected its undefeated record at home, handing Spotswood a 5–2 loss in Point Pleasant on Monday. After the Chargers twice tied the game, the Gulls pulled away with three second-half goals. Spotswood now turns to hosting New Brunswick in an in-season tournament opener Thursday at 4 p.m.

• Dorothy Ann Harris (starnewsgroup.com) — A longtime Jersey Shore resident with deep ties to Bay Head and Point Pleasant, Dorothy Ann "Ann" Harris has passed away, leaving a legacy of community service, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. She co-owned the Bay Head Cheese Shop, worked in local real estate, supported animal rescues and Save Barnegat Bay, and welcomed family to live with her in Point Pleasant. A memorial service is set for October 9 in Bay Head.
