USCGA 16-07 Hosts “About Boating Safely” at Thompson Park
Eleven students attended and passed their NJ State Police Boat License exam on Saturday, February 24th
POINT PLEASANT, NJ – U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 16-07 held an “About Boating Safely” class at Thompson Park in Lincroft, NJ where eleven students attended and passed their NJ State Police Boat License
exam on Saturday, February 24th.
The students in attendance are now able to operate a personal watercraft and all other power vessels in the State of New Jersey. Instructors were: Bill Castagno, John Fisher, Chris and Janet Malzone. C. Malzone, 16-07 Flotilla Staff Officer of Public Education said, “Teaching Boating Safety is the best part of our work as CG Auxiliarists, because it may be the difference that keeps these students safe.”
“About Boating Safely” classes are required by the State of NJ to operate a personal watercraft and any other power vessel. Flotilla 16-07 will be holding multiple “About Boating Safely” classes throughout Monmouth and Ocean County and information is posted on their website and Facebook.
