If you haven't yet had the opportunity to hear Sir Ken Robinson speak, its worth taking a few minutes and listening to one of his YouTube videos about the importance of Creativity in our lives, especially when it comes to our children. His book Out of Our Minds: Learning to be Creative, speaks about the importance of creativity, cultivating creativity and how schools are stifling creativity with standardized tests. I have a wonderful article that I came across from one of my Parent website connections that I want to share with you. As as artist myself, I know how important creativity has been in my life. As we move into a world where social media has become a primary mode of communication; may I stress the importance of keeping art, music, culture, poetry, creative and innovative thought as an active part of our lives and the lives of our children.
