Firefighters responded to the fire and quickly extinguished the blaze.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Borough firefighters extinguished an electrical fire after electricity was reportedly arcing from overhead late Friday night near Maple Avenue and Bedford Place, authorities said.

Assistant Fire Chief Art Zanotti arrived on scene and saw the wires on fire, a post on the fire department's Facebook page stated.

Two fire engines responded to the scene. Firefighters used Ladder 832 to get close to the fire and extinguish it using a "dry chemical extinguisher," the department stated.
