Bergen County Man Accused Of Sex Crimes Against Teen, Prosecutors Say

A Bergen County man was charged with three counts of criminal sexual contact in connection with a victim under 16, prosecutors said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An Elmwood Park man has been arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday.

Alejandro Suaza-Munoz, 35, of Elmwood Park was charged with three counts of criminal sexual contact and one of endangering, in connection with a child "under 16 but over 13," prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said that the Elmwood Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit this Tusday regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child.

Suaza-Munoz was taken to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.

Prosecutor Mark Musella thanked the Elmwood Park Police Department for their assistance
in the investigation.
