TaekwonDo All In Swept ‘2013 Big East XX Taekwondo Championships’ Titles

TAEKWONDO ALL IN won 28 medals at the Big East Taekwondo Championships.

On Sunday, April 28, nine athletes from TAEKWONDO ALL IN, located on 33 Chestnut St., participated at the 2013 Big East XX Taekwondo Championships at the Ridge High School Gymnasium, in Basking Ridge, N.J., where more than 500 athletes gathered and competed.

TAEKWONDO ALL IN athletes earned 10 Gold, 11 Silver and seven Bronze Medals.

Emily Park especially showed amazing performances and won three Gold Medals from the Form, Breaking, and Sparring categories.

TAEKWONDO ALL IN Ridgewood opened only six months ago, but the athletes were able to participate in the tournament for the first time and had amazing results.

With the participation of this championship, athletes are eligible to participate at the Garden State Governor Championships in November. In 2014, they can participate at the USAT State Championships and USA National Championships. The winner of the USA National Championships will become a member of USA National taekwondo team.

Master Young Min Kim, the head instructor of TAEKWONDO ALL IN, started taekwondo at the age of 5 and continued for 16 years as a taekwondo athlete, from six years of elementary school, three years of junior high school, three years of high school and four years of university. He has a graduate degree in M.S. Physical Education - Sports Management from The City University of New York Brooklyn College. He is a master who has both physical and intellectual skills in the taekwondo professional field.

Master Kim states that anyone from the age of 3 or higher, regardless of age or sex, can learn taekwondo with great satisfaction.  Anyone who wants to learn taekwondo can visit the Do Jang (gym) and register for a class that accommodates all levels.
