Cars Collide Outside Ridgewood Elementary School (Photos)
Ridgewood residents were concerned after 2 cars collided at an intersection near an elementary school Wednesday.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — After two cars crashed near an elementary school in Ridgewood on Wednesday, observers were concerned, particularly because it happened close to school dismissal.
The accident occurred at East Glen Avenue and Fairfield Avenue before 3 p.m., reports said.
"This accident was so bad," wrote a commenter on Facebook. "Thank god everyone ended up leaving alive. The speed with which this accident happened in a school cross walk at 2:53 p.m. is unacceptable. Literally minutes or seconds later and this crosswalk would have been filled with people."

One of the cars flipped over and the driver had to be extricated, but there were no serious injuries, according to reports.
