BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Two kids and their dad were taken to the hospital and treated on Tuesday morning after a vehicle struck them in a crosswalk, according to rescue workers and reports.

Officials with Old Tappan's First Aid Corps said they responded to the corner of Kay Street and Charles Place around 8:20 a.m. on a report of a vehicle hitting pedestrians.

The corner is near Baldwin Demarest Elementary School.

Two ambulances "found two pediatric patients struck by a vehicle," they said.

Reports said a father was hit as well by the vehicle, which was making a left-hand turn. They were all treated and released.

They were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, said rescue workers.

They said, "Thank you to Chief J. Hopfer, Deputy Chief R. Apramian, Lieutenant S. Thompson, Crew Chief D. Tidwell, EMT J. Kim, and Driver M. Policastro for responding and providing exceptional care."
