Glen Rock Boy Scout Constructs Planters At Healthcare Center For Eagle Scout Project
Ryan Catania got people to help me construct wooden planters and got plants from Goffle Brook Farm and the Garden Center of Ridgewood.
WYCKOFF, N.J. — A local Boy Scout helped beautify the Christian Healthcare Center by making wooden planter boxes and planting flowers for the staff and patients to enjoy.
Ryan Catania, a Glen Rock resident, coordinated with other scouts, friends, and family members to build the planters and plant the flowers at Heritage Manor nursing home for his Eagle Scout service project.
“The three planter boxes are absolutely beautiful, and have added a home-like atmosphere to our patio,” said Linda Bunker, CHCC's director of activities for Heritage Manor. “The project offered an exciting opportunity for an intergenerational activity and working towards a common goal.”
