Glen Rock Firefighters Extinguish Fire At Recycling Center

Leaf pile caught on fire, authorities said.

Firefighters extinguished a fire at the Glen Rock Recycling Center Thursday morning, fire officials said.

The Glen Rock Fire Department was dispatched to the fire at 6:23 a.m.

Firefighters found a pile of leaves on fire and pour water from multiple hoses on the fire and quickly knocked the fire down, officials said.

Members of the Department of Public Works pulled the leaf pile apart while the fire was extinguished.

The scene was cleared by 7:30 a.m., officials said.
