Glen Rock Mother Starts Mom-Helping Business
Darlene Polulak Lucchi has started The Working Mom's Wife. She helps local moms in the kitchen and cooks dinner for them and their families.
One Glen Rock mother is trying to make other moms’ lives a little easier.
Darlene Polulak Lucchi recently started a business, The Working Mom’s Wife. Lucchi provides assistance to Glen Rock working mothers who need a little help now and again.
Lucchi is a two-time cancer survivor and mother of three children. She owned a yoga studio in Ho-Ho-Kus but had her business partner buy her out. Then was a full-time conference planner. She would often leave her family for a few days at a time.

“I was one person leaving and I was lining up a few people to take my place,” Lucchi said. “It was overwhelming.”
Lucchi offers to go shopping and purchase crock-pot dinner ingredients, start the dinner, and set the table. She’ll also load and unload dishwashers. The average cost is $40.

“It makes a big difference for them,” Lucchi said. “They come home and the house smells good. It is a much more relaxing atmosphere to come home to.”
