Holiday Music Friday, Dec 4, 8pm in Fair Lawn performed by the North Jersey Concert Band.

Maestro Mike Roth will lead the NJCB in an hour of holiday music, old and new. Today’s composers and arrangers of wind band music have uncanny abilities at presenting tried and true tunes in fresh and often surprising ways. In how many guises can the opening salvo of “Joy to the World” be offered ? Whatever one replies, the answer is “more”. In such an endeavor composers are unrestrained in their resourcefulness, as this concert will confirm. Of course old favorites will not be forgotten, presented will be Christmas and Hanukah music in an eclectic mix of the traditional and the innovative, guaranteed to stir the souls of young and old.
