Man Assaulted Woman As She Left Ridgewood Business: Police
The woman was locking her business up when a man walked up to her and assaulted her, police said.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A man was arrested and charged with assaulting a village business owner Monday night, police said.
The woman was trying to lock the front of her business at 7:30 p.m. when a man walked up to and assaulted her, police said.
The woman gave police a description of the man and police searched the area. They later found the 25-year-old Waldwick man and arrested him, police said.

The man was taken to Ridgewood Police headquarters where he was served a criminal complaint for simple assault and was given a court date, police said.
He was taken to New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus and admitted to the emergency room under the state Alcohol Treatment and Rehabilitation Act.
