Man Charged In Sex Assaults Of 2 Kids Under 13: Bergen County Prosecutor

A Paramus man was arrested Wednesday on sexual assault charges involving two victims under 13, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Paramus man was arrested Wednesday on sexual assault charges involving two victims under 13, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said Thursday.

Edison Pro, 53, of Paramus, was charged with two counts of sexual assault by contact, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and a count of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

The Prosecutor's Office said that on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, the Division of Child Protection & Permanency contacted them regarding the alleged sexual assault of two children.

An investigation by prosecutors and the Paramus Police Department "revealed that Edison Pro sexually assaulted two children who were 13 years or younger, in Paramus, NJ on more than one occasion," prosecutors said.

The county prison record shows that he was incarcerated on Wednesday.

Pro was arrested in Paramus on Wednesday and will make his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
