Man Stalked Victim With Text Messages, Calls: Bergen Prosecutor
The victim reportedly received more than 50 anonymous and 'alarming' phone calls and multiple text messages, authorities said.

A Passaic County man was arrested on charges of stalking and cyber-harassment after he violated a restraining order and allegedly sent more than 50 "alarming" phone calls to a victim.
Christopher J. Greig, 36, of Hawthorne was arrested Oct. 9 after the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Glen Rock Police Department, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.
The prosecutor's office Cyber Crimes Unit were informed that a victim received more than 50 "anonymous and alarming phone calls" and multiple text messages from an "unknown caller" using technology to anonymize the caller's identity, Calo said.

Authorities investigated and Greig was arrested Oct. 9 in Glen Rock, Claos said.
In addition to the stalking and cyber-harassment charges, Greig was charged with stalking while on probation or parole, contempt of a stalking restraining order, harassment, and stalking in violation of a court order.

Greg was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing in Hackensack Wednesday morning.
