Man Struck, Killed By Car That Passed Stopped NJ Bus: Cops

A man who worked at a gas station was struck by car that passed a stopped bus in New Jersey, police said.

CARLSTADT – A man who worked at a gas station was struck by car that passed a stopped bus in New Jersey on Monday, police said.

Abdul Ahad, 55, of Paterson was trying to board a bus just as he finished his shift at a Carlstadt gas station on Washington Avenue when he was struck, police said.

The NJ Transit bus had stopped, but the Dodge Charger that was traveling north passed it around 6:45 p.m., police said.

No charges were filed as of Tuesday evening and the driver, who was not named, was cooperating, police said.
