• 'God Is Good,' Says Ridgewood Salon After Car Crashes Through Window (patch.com) — A Ridgewood hair salon quickly reopened Friday after a driver accidentally crashed through its North Maple Avenue front window, with no injuries reported. Nearby businesses from Ridgewood and Ho-Ho-Kus jumped in to clean up and secure the storefront, letting stylists get back to work the very next day. Police say the Fair Lawn driver mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake.

• Missed PAT makes the difference as Teaneck ekes past Ridgewood (nj.com subscription) — Ridgewood's football team fell just short at home, losing 27-26 to Teaneck after a missed extra point spoiled a furious fourth-quarter comeback. Local fans saw big performances from quarterback Colt Kaschenbach and receiver Brody Perrapato, but Teaneck's explosive passing attack and three straight second-half touchdowns proved just enough to edge the Maroons.
