Residents Encouraged To Sound Off On Their Vision For Ridgewood

What do you want to see come to Ridgewood? What does Ridgewood need? A survey was created to solicit answers on those questions.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Residents: Your opinions matter on what the village needs. How can life in Ridgewood improve? What is most needed downtown? What makes Ridgewood special and why?

Local officials have posed questions like these and others to residents in a brief survey posted on the" One Village, Our Future," a website that informs residents about the new Master Plan while it is being created.

Questions range from simple multiple-choice to ones requiring more detailed responses. Others ask residents how satisfied they are with things like: Public safety, transportation, and infrastructure.

The website is part of the "community visioning process" that reaches out to all Ridgewood residents, businesses, and stakeholders, not just people who live in and near the Central Business District. Updates will be posted on the website as the village's Vision Plan is created throughout a six- or seven-month periods.

The Vision Plan will summarize the community engagement process and explain the values, principles, goals, and priorities that will shape the next Master Plan.
