Ridgewood Cracking Down On Leaf Collection Violators

Summonses being issued and officials said there will be 'many' of them.

Ridgewood officials are cracking down on homeowners who do not adhere to the rules regarding putting leaves out to the curb to be collected.

State regulations state that leaves cannot be put out more than seven days prior the scheduled collection date.

This season, residents have reported violations to Ridgewood officials, who chose to issue warnings rather than summonses. This was due to the fact that residents would have been required to appear in municipal court.
