Ridgewood Man With Knife Threatened Others, Police Say

A Ridgewood man was charged with simple assault after he allegedly threatened people with a knife early Wednesday morning, police said.
Police responded to West Glen Avenue at 12:42 a.m. Wednesday on a report of an intoxicated man threatening people with a knife, authorities said.
Vasudheven Kandasamy, 28, was arrested and charged with simple assault, police reported.

Kandasamy was released after posting $500 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Ridgewood Municipal Court.
