Ridgewood Mom, Soccer Coach Diagnosed With Brain Tumor

Amy Steppe's family has launched a fundraising campaign to help her battle a brain tumor.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Amy Steppe is two things: A fighter and a giver.

She served in the Marine Corps and fought for America's freedom. She helped secure her husband's future after he was seriously injured while serving in Iraq, and fought many battles for her children.

Steppe also gives back to kids and families by coaching youth soccer.

"Anyone who knows Amy knows she has an absolute heart of gold and is always the first person to fight for others and gives herself completely to others needs," Steppe's sister Natalie Davin said.

Steppe has had to stop working due to the diagnosis and her husband cannot work due to his injuries.

"Her whole family will need huge financial support to get her and them through this fight over the coming months," Davin said.
