Ridgewood Police Conducting Tactical Training Exercise Thursday

The Ridgewood Police Department will conduct a tactical training exercise at Habernickel Park Thursday.

No live weapons will be used in the exercise, but officers are slated to wear tactical uniforms and equipment, said Chief John Ward.

“This training is important and helps our officers and participating agencies better prepare for critical incident response,” Ward said. “It is in support of our mission to keep our community safe and provide the highest quality of police services.”
