Ridgewood Water Will Discuss New Regulations At Open Houses

Officials will also discuss system upgrades and maintenance performed on the utility's infrastructure.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Ridgewood Water will host a series of open houses later on this year to learn about the utility’s compliance with new regulations for drinking water.

Officials from Ridgewood Water will also discuss system upgrades and maintenance performed on the utility’s infrastructure.

Officials will talk about regulations regarding man-made chemicals called Polyfluoroalkyl Substances that are widespread and persistent in the environment. New Jersey recently became the first state to adopt a stringent drinking water standard for substances of 13 parts per trillion.
