Secret Santa Pays $4,000 In Layaways At Bergen Toys "R" Us: Report

A woman paid off $4,000 in existing layaways at the Toys ”R” Us on Route 22 in Watchung, NJ.com reported.

The woman, who didn’t want her name revealed, went through the layaway list and and randomly picked out the layaways she wanted to pay off, according to the report.

“It was an incredibly kind gesture,” said store manager Dean Sirinakis. “It’s what the holidays are about, someone coming in and making other people’s lives better. She was a very nice lady, very reserved, very quiet, very low key. She asked us not to make her name public.”

The money paid off approximately 20 layaway accounts, the report stated.

“When we called people and told them that their layaway had been paid off they were elated,” Sirinakis said.
